Julie was my trainer in the Facilitator workshop for BST. Before attending this workshop, I had no experience with public speaking or working closely with a group. Julie not only inspired me to be more outgoing she gave me the skills I needed to succeed, and even more the skills to help my whole team succeed. Over the last few years, I have attended a number of workshops and breakout sessions that Julie has instructed as a Senior BST Safety Consultant. The workshops were focused on Leadership, Communication, Team Building, and building the overall skills to lead with innovation and motivation. As someone who wears both the EHS and BBS hats, the workshops Julie conducted assisted me in recognizing and separating the two distinct elements of each; Re-active vs. Pro-active. Being able to identify the responsibility aspects of each has played a critical role in managing change and in my approach toward conflict resolution. With the facilitation skills learned at the workshops Julie instructed, my Exposure Reduction (BBS) Team developed and implemented effective action planning that has led to a site safety culture change.
